Buying a House

When you buy a house, you will need a solicitor to ensure that you obtain good title and that the correct amount of money is paid and to the right person. Once instructed, Sarginsons Law will contact the solicitor acting for the seller and obtain the agreement and copies of the Land Register. We will carry out all the necessary searches and enquiries. We will make certain that you can comply with all the conditions on your mortgage offer.

In accordance with your wishes, we will arrange a date for moving and effect completion. After completion, we will register you as the owner at the Land Registry. If you are selling and buying at the same time, we will co-ordinate both transactions as required by you. On or before completion, Sarginsons will provide a comprehensive statement detailing our legal fees, together with the amounts charged by others, such as the Land Registry.
